Report: Gazprom CEO says redirection of gas flow to Turkey possible
PETROPAVLOVSK-KAMCHATSKY, Oct 17 (PRIME) -- Russian gas giant Gazprom Alexei Miller CEO does not rule out that the company will redirect the gas volumes no longer sent to the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 pipelines to a hub in Turkey, he said October 16.
"I am referring to the volumes that we lost in the acts of international terrorism on Nord Streams, this is why the volumes may be significant," Miller said, adding that the entire amount of gas earlier exported via the northern route may be sent to Turkey.
According to the official, the engineering documentation issues for the future project were solved, when Gazprom was preparing for the South Stream project.
Miller separately said that Gazprom would discontinue exports to Europe, if the countries set a price ceiling.
